Bronfer

Born in Ukraine, Alexander Bronfer began filming at age ten, using his father's camera. When he was sixteen, he moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia, to pursue his studies. Equally gifted in humanitarian and technical sciences, he studied art history but later switched to engineering. After graduation, he worked for several years in Lithuania. Then, he moved to Israel, where he lived in a kibbutz in southern Israel and fell in love with the Dead Sea region and the desert.

Alexander is a gifted and innovative artist with a unique concept for street photography. He focuses on the connection between street and fine art photography, capturing his feelings about the scene rather than reality.

His current main interests are environmental issues and human interaction with nature. His book, Under Sodom Mountain, represents the culmination of eight years of dedicated work focused on one of Earth's most unique and beautiful places: the Dead Sea. The book aims to portray two opposite visual perspectives: the breathtaking beauty and the shocking ugliness of human actions. Alexander has been a finalist in International and Israeli photography festivals, and his works have been exhibited worldwide.
